Are you a Senior SCADA Engineer with strong Control Systems design experience looking to work on major UK infrastructure projects?
We are recruiting multiple Senior Design Engineers – SCADA to join a leading rail infrastructure engineering team delivering complex, multi-system control and monitoring solutions across the UK.
This is an office-based role in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, offering flexible working hours and long-term project security.
Projects You Could Be Working On
- High Speed 2 (HS2)
- Major tunnel ventilation control systems
- UK tram network infrastructure (including Croydon Tram bids)
- Power SCADA & line-wide rail systems
Role Overview – Senior SCADA / Control Systems Engineer
You will take ownership of technical deliverables across the full engineering lifecycle, including:
- SCADA system design & architecture development
- PLC / RTU integration & configuration
- Requirements capture, decomposition & verification (V-model lifecycle)
- Multi-discipline systems integration
- Interface design & configuration control
- Testing, commissioning & validation of complex control systems
- Technical leadership and mentoring of engineering teams
This role suits an experienced systems-minded engineer who is comfortable leading technically while remaining hands-on.
Essential Experience
- Strong Control Systems Engineering background (SCADA essential)
- Experience with Power SCADA, Station M&E systems, or Tunnel Ventilation Control
- PLC platforms such as Siemens S7
- Configuration using TIA Portal
- Experience with WinCC OA preferred
- Knowledge of industrial RTUs (e.g., A8000)
- Strong systems engineering capability (requirements, traceability, integration planning)
- Experience working in safety-critical or mission-critical environment
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control, or Systems Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) preferred
- Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop a nationwide team of field-based engineers delivering advanced vehicle CCTV, telematics and fleet safety technology solutions.
This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for an Engineering Manager, Field Service Manager or Automotive Technical Manager looking to step into a national position with full operational responsibility across the UK.
About the Role
You will take ownership of engineering operations across the UK, ensuring high-quality installation, maintenance, and service delivery across a diverse customer base, including commercial fleets, public sector vehicles and specialist transport operations.
The business operates in the vehicle technology space, delivering solutions such as:
- Vehicle CCTV and surveillance systems
- Mobile Digital Video Recorders (MDVR)
- Live vehicle tracking and telematics platforms
- AI-enabled safety and driver behaviour monitoring
- Integrated fleet data and performance systems
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a team of field-based engineers across the UK
- Drive engineering performance through KPIs, SLAs and quality standards
- Oversee scheduling, resource planning and national service delivery
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and industry regulations
- Conduct site audits and maintain installation/service quality
- Act as an escalation point for technical and customer issues
- Deliver training, mentoring and ongoing skills development
- Support continuous improvement across engineering operations
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service delivery and customer experience
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing field-based engineering teams (national or regional)
- Background in vehicle technology, auto-electrics, CCTV, telematics or similar
- Strong operational leadership and performance management experience
- Good understanding of fleet-based environments and service delivery models
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
Desirable Experience
- Experience with large fleet installations or multi-site service operations
- Knowledge of integrated CCTV and telematics systems
- Exposure to ISO or quality management environments
- Experience working with public sector, transport or blue-light fleets
