Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Bishops Stortford
Salary: £29,000 per annum
About the Role
- Repair, maintain and assemble various mechanical assemblies to required specifications.
- Conduct mechanical testing of assemblies and machinery in line with various regulations.
- Ensure all work is completed to various ISO standards (amongst others)
Key Responsibilities
- Strip down, inspect, clean and rebuild assemblies ready for testing, inspection and return to customers
- Replace defective components as part of the maintenance process.
- Re-assemble assemblies and components to meet quality and safety standards.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company regulations
Experience Required
- Background in mechanical assembly, fitting, testing or repair work.
- Experience working within a regulated or safety-critical environments.
- Familiarity with mechanical tests such as pressure, humidity and temperature.
Qualifications
- Good written literacy for compliance documentation and reporting.
- Technical or engineering-related qualifications (desirable but not essential).
