About the Company
GTS are working with an established specialist vehicle manufacturer and coachbuilder with decades of experience designing and manufacturing bespoke vehicles.
The company specialises in the design, conversion and manufacture of premium hearses, limousines and specialist removal vehicles, working across leading automotive platforms including Mercedes-Benz and Ford. They also have significant experience in hybrid and fully electric vehicle technology.
With a dedicated design and manufacturing facility and continued investment in engineering and vehicle technology, they are looking for experienced Auto Electricians to join their production team.
The Role – Auto Electrician
As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for the electrical installation, wiring, diagnostics and fault finding across a range of bespoke vehicle builds and conversions.
You’ll work within a skilled production environment, installing and testing electrical systems and components while ensuring every vehicle meets the required standards for quality, reliability and finish.
Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems and components into specialist vehicle conversions
• Fit wiring looms, lighting systems, control units and associated electrical equipment
• Carry out electrical testing, diagnostics and fault finding
• Complete electrical repairs, modifications and rectification work
• Work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and detailed build instructions
• Install and terminate automotive connectors, including TE Fastons, Mate-N-Lok and Superseal
• Ensure all electrical work meets quality and safety standards
• Complete accurate build records and documentation
• Work closely with mechanical and vehicle assembly teams
• Support the development and build of bespoke vehicle systems

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as an Auto Electrician, Vehicle Electrician or Automotive Electrical Technician
• Experience with automotive electrical installation and wiring
• Good knowledge of wiring looms, connectors and electrical components
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent – desirable
• IMI qualification – advantageous
• Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Able to work independently following training
• Reliable, organised and comfortable working within a production environment

Salary: Approx. £17.50 per hour, paid weekly
Hours: 38 hours per week | Monday to Thursday | 7:00am – 5:00pm

Vehicle Assembly Technician | Automotive Assembly | Vehicle Conversions | Interior Fitting 
 
GTS Group are looking for a Vehicle Assembly Technician to join a specialist vehicle conversion and preparation environment, working on high-quality ceremonial vehicles.
 
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in vehicle assembly, automotive fitting, vehicle conversions, manufacturing or workshop environments who takes real pride in the quality of their work.
You’ll be responsible for fitting and assembling a range of interior and exterior vehicle components, ensuring every vehicle is completed to a high standard and is right first time.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle assembly and fitting activities across interior and exterior components.
• Fit items including bumpers, carpets, door trims, interior fittings, glazing and other vehicle components.
• Use a range of hand tools, air tools and electrical power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure all work meets required quality, presentation and production standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules and customer delivery deadlines.
• Identify and report any quality, safety or production issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues while being capable of working independently.
• Follow all relevant Health & Safety and production procedures.

About You
We’re looking for someone with previous experience in an assembly, automotive, manufacturing or workshop environment.
 
You’ll ideally have:

• Experience with vehicle assembly, fitting, trim, manufacturing or similar hands-on work.
• Confidence using hand and power tools.
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisation and time management skills.
• A reliable, proactive and positive approach to work.
• A strong commitment to producing high-quality, right-first-time work.

Automotive experience is advantageous, but candidates from other precision assembly or manufacturing backgrounds with strong practical skills will also be considered.
 
Working Hours & Pay

• Monday to Thursday
• 7:00am – 5:00pm
• 38 hours per week
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Approx. £17.50 per hour
• Paid weekly
• Occasional overtime may be available to support customer delivery requirements.
