Business Development Manager

Are you a commercially minded professional with a passion for clean energy and electric vehicles? We’re looking for a strategic and proactive Business Development Lead to spearhead growth across new commercial vehicle charging sectors.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of identifying and penetrating new markets for electric vehicle charging solutions and services. While building on a strong foothold in UK logistics, you’ll also target new opportunities across sectors such as public service fleets, local authorities, emergency services, marine, defence, construction, and beyond.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, backed by a technical and tendering team that will support proposal creation and client-specific engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead go-to-market planning for new sectors requiring commercial EV charging infrastructure
• Identify and convert new business opportunities across logistics and other emerging sectors
• Engage prospective customers through compelling presentations and solution-based sales approaches
• Work closely with internal bid and engineering teams to deliver tailored proposals
• Track market trends, generate performance insights, and report regularly on business development activity

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrable success in a business development or sales role, ideally within a start-up or high-growth technical business
• Experience selling EV charging solutions, engineered products, or services into commercial or industrial sectors
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to closing deals and building customer relationships
• Experience engaging with enterprise or public sector clients would be advantageous
• Data-driven, highly organised, and motivated to drive innovation and continuous improvement
• Excellent communicator, confident in presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decision-makers
