I’m recruiting on behalf of a high-performance composites manufacturer supplying components into Formula 1, motorsport and advanced automotive programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive Stores Operative / Stores Person to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality and precision really matter.
 
This role plays a key part in keeping production running smoothly — ensuring materials are received, controlled, issued and accurately tracked through an MRP/ERP system.
The Role
As a Stores Operative, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the stores and warehouse function, supporting production teams with accurate material control and timely kitting.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Goods In / Goods Out
  Receiving deliveries, checking paperwork, inspecting materials, booking stock into the MRP system and preparing outgoing shipments
• Production Kitting
  Picking, preparing and issuing kits accurately in line with BOMs and job cards
• Stock Control & Inventory Management
  Maintaining accurate stock levels, carrying out stock checks, managing locations and supporting smooth material flow using MRP reporting
• MRP / ERP System Updates
  Recording all transactions in real time to ensure data accuracy and traceability
• General Stores & Warehouse Duties
  Keeping the stores area clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, parts or materials control role within manufacturing
• Experience using MRP / ERP systems (SAP, IFS, MRP, WMS or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Reliable, proactive and comfortable working independently
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Experience in composites, motorsport or automotive manufacturing is a bonus, but not essential.
