NDT Inspector – Formula One
 
3-Month Contract – 4×4 Day Shift Pattern – Motorsport / High-Performance Engineering

Our client designs, develops, and manufactures cutting-edge Formula One powertrain technology, operating at the absolute limits of performance, quality, and reliability. Every component is mission-critical, and every inspection matters.
We are currently seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to support high-volume, high-precision powertrain manufacturing on an initial 3-month contract, working a 4×4 day shift pattern.
 
The Role
As an NDT Inspector, you will be responsible for the inspection of complex and safety-critical powertrain components during manufacture and in-service use. Working to exacting motorsport standards, you will ensure all parts meet specification, quality, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on critical powertrain components and assemblies
• Perform inspections using approved methods and documented procedures
• Accurately record, interpret, and report inspection results
• Support manufacturing and engineering teams with quality assurance during tight delivery schedules
• Maintain compliance with industry and internal quality standards

 
Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an NDT Inspector in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Current EN4179 Level 2 certification in:
• Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
• Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
• Eddy Current Testing (ET)
• Competent in the use of inspection and measurement equipment
• Ability to work independently under pressure and to strict deadlines

 
Desirable Experience

• Experience with 2D X-ray, 3D CT scanning, and exposure to Volume Graphics software
• Apprentice-trained with ONC / HNC (or equivalent) in engineering or manufacturing
• Background in Motorsport, Formula One, Automotive, Aerospace, or High-Performance Manufacturing
• Familiarity with fast-paced, quality-critical production environments
