Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Bishops Stortford
Salary: £29,000 per annum
About the Role

• Repair, maintain and assemble various mechanical assemblies to required specifications.
• Conduct mechanical testing of assemblies and machinery in line with various regulations.
• Ensure all work is completed to various ISO standards (amongst others)

Key Responsibilities

• Strip down, inspect, clean and rebuild assemblies ready for testing, inspection and return to customers
• Replace defective components as part of the maintenance process.
• Re-assemble assemblies and components to meet quality and safety standards.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company regulations

Experience Required

• Background in mechanical assembly, fitting, testing or repair work.
• Experience working within a regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Familiarity with mechanical tests such as pressure, humidity and temperature.

Qualifications

• Good written literacy for compliance documentation and reporting.
• Technical or engineering-related qualifications (desirable but not essential).
