Now Hiring: Contract Senior Electronic Design Engineer – Defence
Location: Surrey
Employment Type: Contract 
Duration: 6 months 
Salary: £62phr Outside IR35

We are recruiting a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a specialist design team delivering electronic products and systems for the Defence sector. This role involves end-to-end electronic design, systems integration, and supporting products through verification and customer acceptance.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and development of analogue and digital electronic circuits, PCBs, and systems
• Design for manufacture and test to support production transition
• Systems integration, fault finding, and troubleshooting
• Support design and project review meetings
• Liaison with external test houses for MoD and European compliance (CE/UKCA)
• Production of technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and change notes
• Provide electronic engineering support to project teams

Key Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Strong experience across the full electronics product lifecycle
• Knowledge of UKCA/CE, EMC, RoHS, and safety standards
• Experience using schematic tools such as OrCAD
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
• Current UK Security Clearance
• Experience working with MoD customers; sonar experience desirable
