We are recruiting an Electronics Design Engineer to join a specialist design team delivering electronic products and systems for the Defence sector. This role involves end-to-end electronic design, systems integration, and supporting products through verification and customer acceptance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and development of analogue and digital electronic circuits, PCBs, and systems
- Design for manufacture and test to support production transition
- Systems integration, fault finding, and troubleshooting
- Support design and project review meetings
- Liaison with external test houses for MoD and European compliance (CE/UKCA)
- Production of technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and change notes
- Provide electronic engineering support to project teams
Key Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Strong experience across the full electronics product lifecycle
- Knowledge of UKCA/CE, EMC, RoHS, and safety standards
- Experience using schematic tools such as OrCAD
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
- Current UK Security Clearance
- Experience working with MoD customers; sonar experience desirable
