Auto Electrical Field Engineer – South Coast
A growing vehicle technology and transport safety specialist is looking to recruit an Auto Electrical Field Engineer to support fleet operators across Brighton and the surrounding areas.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Auto Electrician, Vehicle CCTV Engineer or Telematics Engineer who enjoys working in the field, fault-finding on complex vehicle systems, and supporting critical transport infrastructure.
 
You will work on buses, coaches and commercial vehicles, carrying out installation, service and maintenance of vehicle CCTV, telematics and electrical systems.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and fault-find vehicle CCTV and auto electrical systems
• Install and configure mobile CCTV equipment, cameras, DVRs and routers
• Diagnose and repair faults on bus and coach electrical systems
• Programme and commission onboard vehicle technology
• Complete digital reports and service documentation using online reporting systems
• Work independently across multiple customer sites in the Brighton region
• Liaise with technical teams and customers to resolve issues efficiently

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience working as an Auto Electrician, Vehicle CCTV Engineer, Telematics Engineer or Field Service Engineer
• Strong experience working on buses, coaches or commercial vehicles
• Knowledge of auto electrical systems and vehicle fault finding
• Experience with mobile CCTV systems
• Familiarity with DVRs, routers, cameras, 4G/WiFi connectivity
• Ideally experience with Timspace equipment
• Good IT skills and ability to configure equipment on-site
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
