Shift: Friday – Sunday | 07:00 – 19:00 (3-day week!)
Contract: June – December 2026 (FTC or Inside IR35 options available)

We’re hiring a Quality Inspector (CMM / Dimensional Inspection) to join a leading F1 team in Motorsport Valley, supporting the inspection and validation of high-performance powertrain components in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment.
 
This role is critical in ensuring every component meets the exacting standards required to perform at the highest level of motorsport.
 
The Role – Quality Inspector (CMM)
You’ll play a key role in dimensional inspection and quality assurance, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform dimensional inspection of complex powertrain components during production and in-service stages
• Identify non-conforming components, raising detailed inspection and non-conformance reports
• Ensure all inspection data is accurate, reliable, and correctly recorded within internal systems
• Carry out daily calibration of inspection equipment
• Use CMM and metrology equipment to verify components against specifications
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers to improve inspection processes and standard operating procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance production capability

 
Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector / CMM Inspector within precision engineering
• Strong background in dimensional inspection of complex components
• In-depth knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Hands-on experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
• Ability to produce clear and accurate non-conformance reports
• High attention to detail with a quality-first mindset

Desirable:

• Experience in automotive, aerospace, or motorsport environments
• Familiarity with high-precision components such as cylinder heads, engine blocks, crankshafts, and gears
• Experience with metrology systems such as PCDMIS, Polyworks, Talyrond, Talysurf, or Quindos
