About the Company
Our client is a specialist composite manufacturer producing structural and non-structural composite components for some of the world’s most demanding industries, including Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace, and Marine.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Trainee Production Planner to their operations team.
 
The Role
Working closely with the Production Manager, Production Coordinator, Workflow Coordinator, and Manufacturing Team Leaders, you’ll support the planning and coordination of production activities across multiple manufacturing departments.
You’ll play a key role in helping ensure production schedules, workflow priorities, and customer delivery deadlines are achieved.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to composite manufacturing processes and develop valuable production planning and supply chain skills.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with creating and maintaining production schedules
• Support the coordination of manufacturing activities across multiple departments
• Update and maintain production data within ERP systems
• Monitor workflow and production progress
• Track customer delivery requirements and project deadlines
• Support production planning meetings and progress updates
• Assist with material planning and communicate shortages or delays
• Coordinate supplier communications regarding lead times and deliveries
• Prepare delivery documentation when required
• Provide administrative support to the production and operations teams

Skills & Experience Essential

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Proactive and motivated approach to work
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Interest in manufacturing, engineering, production planning, or operations

Desirable

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Exposure to engineering or production environments
• Experience within composites, aerospace, automotive, or motorsport industries
• Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems
