Join a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing business specialising in lightweight composite structures and automated manufacturing technology for the aerospace, automotive, defence and space sectors.
GTS Group are looking for an experienced Quality Inspectors to join the team with a strong focus on CMM inspection and programming alongside dimensional and visual inspection of composite and metallic components.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out CMM inspection (PCDMIS) and programming of manufactured components.
- Performing dimensional and visual inspections of composite and metallic parts.
- Inspecting incoming materials, in-process components and finished products.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and CAD models.
- Using inspection equipment including CMMs, micrometres, callipers and gauges.
- Producing FAIR packs, inspection reports and Certificates of Conformance.
- Supporting MRB, non-conformance and corrective action processes.
- Carrying out Gauge R&R activities.
- Working closely with Production and Engineering to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Maintaining accurate inspection and quality records.
- Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards, including ISO 9001 and AS9100.
What We’re Looking For
- 2-3+ years’ experience in Quality Inspection or Quality Control within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CMM operation and programming. Ideally PCDMIS.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience working with CAD models for inspection.
- Strong understanding of dimensional inspection and measurement equipment.
- Experience within composite, aerospace, automotive, motorsport or advanced manufacturing would be highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, positive and hands-on approach.
- Engineering or Manufacturing qualification (Level 3 NVQ or equivalent industrial experience).
