Production Planner – Composite Manufacturing

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £46,000 – £55,000 + Benefits
 
Our client is a leading composite manufacturing company, producing high-performance, lightweight components for the automotive, motorsport, defence and aerospace sectors.
 
With strong in-house capabilities across tooling, composite materials, metallic components, rapid prototyping, final assembly and low-volume manufacturing, the business works closely with customers to deliver high quality and reliable turnaround.
 
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to manage production schedules, materials and delivery commitments within a fast-paced composite manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient workflows and on-time customer delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules
• Maintain accurate data using the Progress Plus ERP system
• Coordinate materials, tooling and BOM availability
• Liaise with production teams to resolve capacity or workflow issues
• Communicate with customers on delivery dates and progress
• Track production from kit cutting to inspection, dispatch and delivery
• Attend daily production meetings and provide status updates

About You

• Experience in production planning or manufacturing scheduling
• Composites or advanced manufacturing background preferred
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Comfortable adapting to changing priorities
• ERP / MRP system experience (Progress Plus advantageous)
