Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000

The Role

  • Design and develop electrical control panels using E-Plan.
  • Produce schematic drawings, panel layouts, wiring diagrams and BOMs.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (BS/EN/IEC).
  • Communicate regularly with customers to clarify technical requirements and provide updates.
  • Support testing, fault-finding and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and efficient control panel designs from concept to completion.
  • Create and manage E-Plan projects, macros and templates.
  • Specify components including PLCs, HMIs, drives, protection and control devices.
  • Liaise directly with customers and suppliers to ensure technical and commercial requirements are met.
  • Maintain documentation and revision control to high standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical control panel design.
  • Strong working knowledge of E-Plan
  • Experience communicating directly with customers in a professional engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of PLC-based control systems and industrial automation.
  • Confident, professional communicator with the ability to represent the business effectively.
