Field Service Engineer – Lancashire
Location: Field-based across Lancashire | Employment Type: Full-time
GTS are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a dynamic service team in Lancashire. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair compressed air and industrial gas systems at customer sites, delivering high-quality service and technical expertise. Every day will bring new challenges, from on-site diagnostics to proactive maintenance, ensuring our customers’ operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot air compressors, dryers, gas generators, and related equipment
- Diagnose technical issues and complete repairs with efficiency and safety in mind
- Represent the company on-site with professionalism and a customer-first approach
- Use digital tools to log work, maintain accurate records, and report on service activity
- Take part in an on-call rota for urgent service needs
- Attend training and development sessions to keep skills up to date
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and added value for customers
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or field-based engineering
- A recognised mechanical or electrical qualification (or equivalent hands-on expertise)
- IT literacy with the ability to use and learn digital service tools
- A full UK driving licence (maximum 3 points)
- Adaptable, proactive, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
