Job Title: Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Cranfield, Bedfordshire
Salary: £40,000 per annum
 
Our client are recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team in Cranfield, Beds.

This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative automation and robotics projects while developing your design skills in a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Support the development of machines and robotic systems from concept through to production
• Produce detailed engineering drawings, models, and documentation
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers

Skills & Experience

• Experience using SolidWorks for 3D modelling and mechanical design
• Degree or completed apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field)
• Understanding or practical experience within a highly regulated industry
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
