The Opportunity
 
As a Mechanical Inspector, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that every component meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and performance. You’ll use your hands-on experience and technical know-how to deliver parts and assemblies that power next-generation vehicles and transport solutions.
 
What You’ll Be Doing

• Carry out precision inspection of components and assemblies.
• Operate and program Mitutoyo CMM systems using M-Cosmos V5.3.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles confidently.
• Use metrology tools such as micrometers, verniers, bore mics, digital height gauges, and shadow graphs.
• Manage and record non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to maintain quality flow.
• Support continuous improvement in a zero-defect, ISO9001 environment.
• Prepare goods for shipment, manage stock, and maintain accurate system records.

 
What You’ll Bring

• Strong background in manual and digital inspection within precision engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience with CMM operation and programming (Mitutoyo preferred).
• Solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with SAGE or PC-DMIS software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
• Experience with anodising, electroplating, or surface treatments desirable.
• Detail-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and accuracy.
