GTS are looking for an experienced Weekend Model Maker to join a world-leading Formula 1 engineering team.
Based at their state-of-the-art wind tunnel facility in Bedford, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in precision engineering, teamwork, and the fast-paced world of motorsport.
The Role
As a Model Maker, you’ll:
- Assemble and prepare high-quality wind tunnel models and components.
- Work closely with aerodynamicists, design engineers, and additive manufacturing teams.
- Contribute to continuous development and innovation in model-making processes.
- Ensure parts are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
- Work weekend shift patterns as part of a collaborative team.
About You
- Previous automotive or motorsport model-making experience (F1 experience highly desirable).
- Strong understanding of precision part manufacture and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on, detail-driven approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working to strict deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Able to work flexible weekend shifts at Bedford facility, with occasional travel to Milton Keynes.

Shift Patterns
Weekend rota across early, late, and night shifts:
- Early: Fri 06:00-19:00, Sat-Mon 06:00-14:30
- Late: Fri 09:30-22:30, Sat-Mon 14:00-22:30
- Night: Fri 17:30-06:30, Sat-Mon 22:00-06:30
