Quality Compliance Engineer

£40,000–£45,000 + Benefits
We’re supporting a specialist engineering-led manufacturer that designs and produces an industrial used product. As a privately owned, innovative business, they pride themselves on delivering a first-class product through continual improvement, investment, and a highly skilled workforce.
They are now looking to appoint a Quality Compliance Engineer to support the Compliance Director and help drive quality standards, ISO compliance, and operational improvements across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid quality experience who wants to progress into a broader compliance leadership position.
The Role
- Develop understanding of all manufacturing processes to improve quality and reduce risk
- Manage Special Quality Plans and support wider quality projects
- Conduct prevention and improvement inspections, ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Support monthly compliance communications (written updates, toolbox talks, management briefs)
- Plan and perform internal ISO audits (ISO9001 & ISO14001)
- Lead and support external audits
- Monitor and report non-conformances and drive corrective and preventive actions
- Manage customer and supplier compliance platforms (e.g. RISQS, UVDB, EcoVadis)
- Assist in maintaining and improving existing accreditations and supporting future accreditations (e.g. ISO45001)
- Support and deliver internal compliance training including Quality Awareness and toolbox sessions
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality role within a technical or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and its processes
- ISO9001 internal auditing experience
- Experience with compliance, risk assessments, and interpretation of quality-related legislation
- Strong PC, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with quality management systems and process control
Additional Information
- Based in Manchester with occasional travel to Leicester
- Day shift Monday–Friday, with early finish on Fridays
