About the Role
GTS are supporting a leading Formula 1 team based in the heart of Motorsport Valley recruiting a Senior Aerodynamicist to join its world-class Aerodynamic Development department.
As a Senior Aerodynamicist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering aerodynamic performance, leading small project groups, and mentoring the next generation of aerodynamic talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide small aerodynamic teams to achieve performance objectives.
- Analyse results from CFD and wind tunnel testing to drive design improvements.
- Create and iterate aerodynamic surfaces using CAD tools.
- Collaborate closely with design groups to ensure aerodynamic intent is fully realised.
- Oversee wind tunnel sessions to ensure smooth operation and valuable data capture.
- Continuously refine aerodynamic methods, tools, and workflows.
- Support and develop junior aerodynamicists to reach their potential.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering, Aerodynamics, or related discipline.
- Strong technical understanding of aerodynamics in a Formula 1 environment.
- Proven experience developing performance-driven F1 aerodynamic concepts.
- Confident leading small technical teams and mentoring others.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Skilled in CAD, CFD, and wind tunnel processes.
