Transport Planner
Transport Planner – Liverpool (Garston) – Up to £34,000
We are working with a well-established logistics and transport company based at a busy rail terminal in Garston, Liverpool, who are looking to recruit a Transport Planner to join their close-knit team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous container planning experience, or a Transport Administrator who has had some exposure to planning and is ready to take the next step in their career.
About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for planning and routing HGVs out of the terminal, working with the transport planning software and ensuring all documents are correctly uploaded and processed.
Key duties include:
- Routing HGVs for national container deliveries
- Verifying transport documents and updating systems
- Communicating with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams
- Working under pressure to meet daily deadlines
- Utilising strong IT skills to manage systems effectively
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience planning containerised transport (essential)
- Will also consider strong Transport Administrators with container experience
- Confident using transport planning systems
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Salary & Hours:
- Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 depending on experience
- 35-hour week with a good work/life balance
- Shifts: 6am-1pm and 12pm-7pm, rotating weekly
- Based at Garston rail terminal, Liverpool
