About the Company
GTS are working with an established specialist vehicle manufacturer and coachbuilder with decades of experience designing and manufacturing bespoke vehicles.
The company specialises in the design, conversion and manufacture of premium hearses, limousines and specialist removal vehicles, working across leading automotive platforms including Mercedes-Benz and Ford. They also have significant experience in hybrid and fully electric vehicle technology.
With a dedicated design and manufacturing facility and continued investment in engineering and vehicle technology, they are looking for experienced Auto Electricians to join their production team.
The Role – Auto Electrician
As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for the electrical installation, wiring, diagnostics and fault finding across a range of bespoke vehicle builds and conversions.
You’ll work within a skilled production environment, installing and testing electrical systems and components while ensuring every vehicle meets the required standards for quality, reliability and finish.
Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems and components into specialist vehicle conversions
• Fit wiring looms, lighting systems, control units and associated electrical equipment
• Carry out electrical testing, diagnostics and fault finding
• Complete electrical repairs, modifications and rectification work
• Work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and detailed build instructions
• Install and terminate automotive connectors, including TE Fastons, Mate-N-Lok and Superseal
• Ensure all electrical work meets quality and safety standards
• Complete accurate build records and documentation
• Work closely with mechanical and vehicle assembly teams
• Support the development and build of bespoke vehicle systems

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as an Auto Electrician, Vehicle Electrician or Automotive Electrical Technician
• Experience with automotive electrical installation and wiring
• Good knowledge of wiring looms, connectors and electrical components
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent – desirable
• IMI qualification – advantageous
• Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Able to work independently following training
• Reliable, organised and comfortable working within a production environment

• 4-day working week – Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-5:30pm
• Overtime available:
  • Weekdays: x1.3 then x1.5
  • Saturday: x1.5 then x2
  • Sunday: x2 (subject to conditions)
