GTS Group are supporting an established manufacturer of high-performance carbon fibre components, supplying premium automotive, motorsport and specialist engineering sectors.
 
Due to increased workload, we’re looking for experienced Carbon Fibre Preppers, Painters and Polishers to join the team on an Outside IR35 contract.
 
Contract Details

• Minimum 3-6 month contract with strong potential for extension
• Outside IR35
• Monday-Friday
• 06:00-15:00
• Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
• Immediate starts available

Available Positions
 
Carbon Fibre Prepper
You’ll be responsible for preparing carbon fibre components to an exceptional standard before paint, ensuring every part meets strict quality requirements.
Typical duties include:

• Sanding and preparing carbon fibre components
• Filling pinholes and surface imperfections
• Flatting, masking and preparing parts for paint
• Visual inspection to high cosmetic standards
• Working from engineering drawings and work instructions

Carbon Fibre Painter
You’ll apply high-quality finishes to premium composite components within a modern manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include:

• Mixing and applying primers, base coats and clear coats
• Painting carbon fibre and composite components
• Maintaining excellent paint quality and consistency
• Working safely with paints and coatings
• Completing quality inspections throughout the process

Carbon Fibre Polisher
You’ll deliver the final cosmetic finish expected on high-end carbon fibre products.
Responsibilities include:

• Machine polishing and finishing painted carbon fibre components
• Removing minor defects and achieving flawless finishes
• Inspecting components under quality lighting
• Working to demanding cosmetic standards
• Supporting final quality inspection

Experience Required
We’re keen to hear from candidates with experience in one or more of the following industries:

• Motorsport
• Formula One
• Automotive
• Hypercar or Supercar manufacturing
• Aerospace
• Marine composites
• High-end composite manufacturing

You’ll ideally have experience with:

• Carbon fibre components
• Composite preparation and finishing
• High cosmetic quality standards
• Paint preparation and polishing techniques
• Working within fast-paced manufacturing environments
• Excellent attention to detail

Ideal Candidate
You’ll be:

• Experienced in one of the advertised disciplines
• Quality focused with exceptional attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and committed throughout the contract
• Available to start at short notice (preferred)
