Composite Inspector / CMM Technician – Job Overview
An established and growing advanced composites manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Composite Quality Inspector / CMM Technician to join their team.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in composite inspection, CMM operation within industries such as motorsport, aerospace, automotive, or high-performance engineering.
 
Key Responsibilities (Composite Inspector / CMM Technician)

• Inspect composite components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and 3D scanning arms
• Carry out and support NDT inspection processes
• Complete all quality inspection documentation accurately
• Work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment to strict deadlines
• Communicate with internal teams and customers on quality issues and reporting

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a composite inspection / quality role
• Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing processes
• Experience using CMM machines and metrology equipment
• Understanding of NDT methods (Non-Destructive Testing)
• Background in quality engineering, inspection, or manufacturing
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight tolerances
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with customers
• Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

• £Competitive per hour (DOE)
• 42.5 hours per week
• Core hours: 08:30 – 17:30
• Overtime available during peak periods
• 24 days holiday + bank holidays
